Under Construction......

If you are viewing this page, accept my apologies and please check back later. I am so new to all of this.
AND I refuse to ask my 19 yr. old computer literate son for help.....at the moment. I think there still is a way to figure all of this out!

Let the heat begin.......?

School is out! yea! Do I sound happy? As much as I love teaching there is just something bout the long summer days. I am a huge fan of the Country Time Lemonade commercials, you know the one where the kids are walking along the fence on a beautiful country road- I want to go where they are with my children. My kids are getting older now and are busier than ever but summer gives me some time with them with not a lot of time restrictions, a time for relaxing and dreaming.

This is how part of the blog name got it's start. When my babies were little we would lay in the back yard on a nice quilt on our backs and stare up at the blue skies. Watching the cloud shapes go by and the kids trying to guess what "that" cloud looks like. Looking for the dragonflies at the fish pond, seeking the "cool" butterflies and watching the birds fly thru the trees. These are the memories I will never forget.

Well the summer is off to a hot start, I was kinda hopin' it was going to be awhile before we had to hide indoors from the heat. I hope that is not a repeat of last summer. We roasted last year, rain was non-existent, trees died, grass was a permanent brown and the flowers were....well they all died with the water restrictions. The only bright spot is that the humidity is not at 80+%. I am praying for a good rain, not the storms that bring tornadoes and push the planes off the tarmac.

The heat has brought some well needed time to spend indoors and finish all of the projects I have put off "until I had more time", not to mention the quilt(s) that are in progress and in much need of TLC.

Until next post.........
